Spotlot is free to use and stays that way. No ads, no paywall, no sign-in to use any of it, and the data is not for sale.
If you find it useful and would like to chip in, anything helps.
One-off takes any amount you like. Monthly runs in $5 steps, set the number at checkout, and cancels any time.
Where it goes
- More dealers. Every source added widens the corpus and gives each valuation more evidence to argue from.
- Longer history. Australian used-car price history cannot be bought. It is accumulated one observation at a time, so every month the crawler runs is a month of history nobody else has.
- A free API. Open to anyone who wants to build on top of it.
What it will never become
No paywall. Everything here stays readable, whether or not anyone ever donates.
No advertising. A dealer paying to sit above a valuation would corrupt the only thing this tool has.
Your data is not the product. No accounts and no tracking. A valuation stores the car and its workings, never who asked. Payments run through Stripe, so card details never touch this site.
